Chris J. Slater Obviously Dirk is feeling tired and has repeatedly said so. He asked at the beginning of this post: "Am I opinionated!?" I read the article that Dirk posted to see what bought that on so I could answer the question he posed here. Since when should anyone be belittled across the country as has been done to Dirk in that "report". Does what was said against Dirk justify what is happening in Lantzville now? As Dirk posted: http://www.synergymag.ca/ways-means-of-bullying/ I know he is feeling set upon by people who are following a PERSONAL AGENDA, that is not in the best interests of the office that Council was elected to in my opinion. Bottom line I support Dirk because I believe what he is doing has to be the right of everyone who lives in Canada: to grow FOOD regardless of some outdated, archaic bylaw which the council is supposed to be reviewing. This whole matter should be put in abeyance until the new bylaw is vetted and passed. This Council is trying to raise MORE income (as well as put stumbling blocks), to a taxpayer for an expensive, worthless, arbitrary TUP that they can yank from under him as soon as we're not watching. To apply for a TUP, apply for rezoning or make application to Board of Variance just legitimizes what they have done and are continuing to do to a peace loving citizen. Yes, and we should thank God that he is about the right things! Well, I pray he gets the support he needs to see this through to it's logical end and those on Council who are pursuing this vendetta get their knuckles rapped good at the next election, if not sooner. This forum is called Protect Urban Agriculture, Save Compassion Farm...And that's what we're trying to do for all peoples in Canada who want to grow their own food organically wherever without interference by corporations like Monsanto, Dow Chemical and their other "supporters". What gives Mr. Brash the right to do what he does next door to Dirk and then receive the support of 4 out of 7 on Council with no help from the Provincial government or the RCMP? Do people who want to poison everything on "their" property have rights that exceed ours?
